Woah, where did this beautiful weather come from? If like me you are still fully in tights and boots mode unleashing a summer wardrobe can be a little daunting with pasty legs and ghostly arms. I have quickly swapped my regular body moisturiser for my Decleor Gradual Glow Hydrating Body Milk, £31.50 to take the edge off. I only discovered this a few months ago but have found it gives a wonderfully natural sun kissed glow, I don’t use it always but when I do I frequently have people asking where I have been away! Skin looks naturally tanned and unlike any false tan I have experienced before, I don’t feel mega-tanned instead healthy and radiant. Actually the perfect gradual glow for all, even the biggest tan-phobes like myself. It is refreshingly easy to apply. Scrub and de-fuzz if you are feeling fancy but if not simply massage in as you would your regular moisturiser and be sure to wash hands well afterwards. This gradual glow unlike many moisturisers actually works wonders to deeply hydrate skin, leaving you feeling soft and nourished. True to Decleor’s aromatherapy ethos it is infused with natural magnolia essential oils and vanilla extract which not only leave you smelling uhmaazzzing but also protect against free radicals and external irritants, especially ideal for when we are exposing more flesh in beautiful spring time weather and also great if like me you find some tans can irritate skin and cause redness and bumps. I would say this tan takes about 6hours to fully develop, I usually sleep in mine or slap it on while I am doing house jobs- generally by that time I am really ready to wash it off as unfortunately as with most tans it doesn't smell fab once developed. I do find after showering there is absolutely no hint of tan smell and instead you are just left with unbelievably natural, sun-kissed skin.
To really amp up the healthy glow, use Charlotte Tilbury’s Supermodel Body, £45. This incredible shimmer body make up comes with a super slick built in metal rollerball meaning you can roll the product down limbs and arms to add luminosity and cheat the illusion of longer, leaner limbs. All while caffeine and a wild mushroom extract encourage detoxing, fluid drainage and collagen boosting fibres meaning legs look de-puffed and cabbage knees are a goner!
I would happily bathe in both of these products if I could! fingers crossed for a beautiful spring.
