Summer is in full swing, the weather is hotting up nicely (..on occasion), we are jetting off and returning from our holidays and as a result wanting to reach for lighter bases and hold off on fuller coverage foundations. Below is a run down of my faves ranging from the super light through to those with a bit more concealing power if your not feeling brave enough to fully flash the flesh.
Soap and Glory ‘Glow Job, Sunkissed Tinted Moisture Flash, £11.00.
I discovered this tinted moisturiser while pondering over a 3 for 2 offer in Boots and have been so impressed with my spontaneous purchase. I skip my moisturiser and massage this in with fingers, it applies as a regular moisturiser would but as you work the product into the skin it releases a wonderfully natural burst of bronze that banishes even the pastiest of complexions adding a gorgeous sun kissed glow. This product is incredibly sheer and so if coverage is what you are looking for this wouldn't be the one for you but fabulous for after the gym, the school run, a post-poolside pick me up or anytime you generally need your skin to be you but just that little bit better!
That little bit more…
Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser, £34.
The Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser is a cult beauty classic and one I have had in my make up bag on and off for years. It offers a good tint of colour that will soften any imperfections and create even, luminous skin. Also available in an oil-free formula, perfect for those prone to breakouts and unwanted shine. If you are lacking radiance and looking to achieve ridonkulously healthy skin opt for the ‘Illuminating Tinted Moisturiser’, a newer addition to the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser family with heaps of highlighter blended in for added wow factor.
Your halfway there…
Bobbi Brown BB Cream, £29.
This BB Cream is the one I have been using on a daily basis for the majority of this year, I am now on my second tube and honestly, I don’t know if I could be without it now. It floods the skin with moisture with its richer, more cream like texture which combined with light reflective pearls gives skin an incredible glow. It blurs pores and offers enough coverage to even out skin tone giving you gorgeous skin in a flash. With a high SPF of 35 this hardworking tube also offers great protection from the sun.
For those who are too chicken…
Hourglass Illusion Tinted Moisturiser, £45.
This really does stretch the term ‘tinted’, this fabulously rich liquid provides up-most coverage from a tinted moisturiser, in fact I would say it is as hardworking as a foundation but does stay true to its ‘moisturiser’ description in offering high tech Hyaluronic Filling Spheres that work to plump while its super snazzy Instalift® technology promises to lift and tighten skin within the first hour of wear. This Instalift® technology is amazing for mature skins and for those like myself who are conscious of larger pores. The tightening technology means pores appear smaller, skin is flawless and my oh my does this photograph well!
